All ages are welcome to join us at our campfire circle for refreshments and a presentation on these fascinating and beneficial insects. Our presenter is Dr. Elizabeth Barnes\, an entomologist and ecologist from Purdue University. After the discussion\, the attendees will have time to hike our property on their own to search for these special cicadas. \nAll Ages \nFree of Charge – RSVP Required \nWhat to Expect \n\nEasy\, 3/4 mile of trails over flat terrain.\nDress in long pants thick enough to stand up to thorns\, brush\, poison ivy\, ticks\, and mosquitos (unfortunately leggings aren’t very protective).\nWear closed-toed shoes that can stand up to mud.\nSpringtime can be muddy\, so wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty.\n\nDirections \nOliver’s Woods is located at 8825 River Road Indianapolis\, Indiana. Please park in the parking lot adjacent to I-465 and meet staff on foot in front of the house.
