SUMMARY:A Giant in Her Field: E. Lucy Braun
DESCRIPTION:In this Spirit and Place Festival event\, a walk through an old growth forest brings participants face to face with forest ecologist E. Lucy Braun\, whose pioneering work in deciduous forests laid the foundation for land conservation today. \nPresented in partnership with Timepiece Theatre Company. \nParticipants will meet at Meltzer Woods in Shelbyville. Parking is available at Meltzer Woods\, and a tent will serve as a meeting place before the start of the walk. Please help us keep social distance by staying 6 feet apart from other participant groups. Masks are required for this event. \nThe Spirit & Place Festival (Nov. 5-15) celebrates the powerful role the arts\, humanities\, and religion play in community life. Housed in the IU School of Liberal Arts at IUPUI\, Spirit & Place is celebrating its 25th year. Learn more at spiritandplace.org.
