An update on our COVID-19 response
We are working to keep our nature preserves open so you can continue to take solace in nature! Just like this Eastern box turtle, whose habitat we are restoring with many of our nature preserves, we all need a bit of space. Because of COVID-19, that has become a real factor in planning activities, including outdoor adventures.
As we continue to deal with the impact of the pandemic, we want to remind everyone to practice social distancing in natural areas. We love when people explore our nature preserves—just please remember to be respectful of other visitors and maintain a distance of 6 feet between you and anyone not in your household. Be mindful when passing other hikers, and have a mask ready to put on if you are unable to keep distance.
Note that if a parking area is full, the preserve has reached capacity, so please come back at another time. Our nature preserves can accommodate fewer visitors than many public natural areas. Consider visiting at less popular times to enjoy their quiet trails.
Please read our property visitation guidelines for more on visiting our nature preserves.
