Our members’ generosity is astounding. When we got word of an ambitious 2023 year-end match challenge last month, we were a bit concerned at first. Raising $250,000 to meet the Efroymson Family Fund’s challenge would be a stretch, especially in such a short time frame.
We shouldn’t have worried. Time and time again, we are amazed by the level of support for our organization’s conservation mission. New members joined longstanding ones to come through for nature.
Clearly nature-lovers in Central Indiana—and beyond—want to protect more beautiful places like Fern Station. People enthusiastically support our tree plantings and other restoration efforts. Many enjoy exploring a particular preserve, such as Oliver’s Woods or the Laura Hare Preserve at Blossom Hollow. Still others are impassioned by climate change, habitat preservation, or a generational connection to nature.
The outpouring of generosity is truly humbling. And every dollar given (up to $250,000) has been doubled, creating even more momentum to save land in 2024. We are so grateful to everyone who helped us “double down” on conservation and meet this historic match challenge!
Many thanks to all who gave. We promise to steward your funds with care.
