Enjoy a fun morning of volunteering at the Jacob Schramm Nature Preserve. This 31-acre forest has been permanently protected and is owned by the Hancock County Community Foundation. The Central Indiana Land Trust works closely with the Hancock County Community Foundation to manage the care and restoration of this preserve.
What to expect and bring:
Volunteers will be repairing bridges over the wetlands and pulling invasive plants. Please wear good outdoor shoes and bring gloves, drinking water and small hand tools.
Location and Amenities:
The preserve is located at 1926 S 600 W, New Palestine, IN 46163, just one mile south of US 40 on Mt Comfort Rd. There is a gravel parking lot but no services are available at this site.
