We invite our local veterans community to join us, the Indiana Wildlife Federation, the City of Indianapolis Office of Veteran Services, and Delight in Nature for an afternoon of being inspired in nature at Betley Woods at Glacier’s End.

Michelle Morton, Nature & Forest Bathing Guide, will lead the group through exercises aimed at connecting to nature and finding calm within the environment. Participants will be invited to embrace the sights, sounds, textures and scents we will encounter on this intentionally slow outing. Michelle will support participants by providing a safe and intentional experience. Participants can slow down and be present, with the knowledge that the guide is nearby to facilitate the process.

We will be walking the Sparrow Trail, which is a one-mile gravel loop that meanders through the prairie and into the quiet woods.

What to bring/wear:

  • Comfortable clothing layers for the season and weather
  • Comfortable walking shoes suitable for the uneven trail surfaces
  • Water bottle
  • Sun/bug protection if desired

RSVP’s are required so we know to expect you. Once we reach capacity for this event we will activate the waiting list.
